The idea was that Burners would keep wealth "in the family," so to speak, which makes us Burners better off, as a class.

Well, I guess I might as well ask and see what happens, even though this is a small quiet group...
I'm in the process of starting a retail store based on supporting the community while bringing in a profit for the vendors (who are all small start-up companies). Does anyone know where I can find an angel investor?
My situation just doesn't work for a loan, believe me I've tried that route. I've been told more than once that an angel is the best way to get what I need.
So any and all ideas are appreciated. -

Fri, November 11, 2005 - 12:26 PMHave you looked into classes offered by the SBA/SCORE? The Small Business Administration will offer low-interest loans to people who been through SCORE's "starting a business" classes.
You have to have a business plan, and some other details, but the SCORE classes will teach you how to do all that.

Because I'm a young first-time business owner with bad credit left over from college and no collateral or equity, my only option is an investor. I've already talked to loan packagers and the SBA, and they both agree.
